Marc Overmars, the former Arsenal great, has suggested he would love a return to Arsenal one day to work under Arsene Wenger in a coaching role.

The legendary Dutch winger played for the Gunners under Arsene Wenger between 1997–2000, making 142 appearances. He was an influential player in the Arsenal squad that won the League and Cup double in 1998.

After Arsenal, Overmas moved to Barcelona for four years before retiring from playing football. Following his retirement, Overmars made the switch to technical manager for Dutch club Go Ahead Eagles in 2008.

However, recently Overmas has claimed he would jump at the chance to coach at his ex-club Arsenal.

The former Gunners legend claimed: "When people ask me what memories I have of Ajax, Barcelona or Arsenal, I have to say that at one club I feel at home and that is Arsenal."

"If they were to ask me to do something I would love to," explained the Dutchman.

"I spoke with Arsene Wenger at the training ground and the facilities there are beautiful. It's emotional to walk around there - it's a beautiful place."
