Gunners in battle to keep hold of Dutch ace

Published Add your comment

PSV Eindhoven have targeted Arsenal youngster Oguzhan Ozyakup as a replacement for Barcelona-bound Ibrahim Afellay, according to the Daily Mail.

Ozyakup is highly rated so his side will try and keep their prized asset at the club by offering him a new three-year contract.

The Gunners are one of the sides that missed out on signing Afellay, who decided to sign for Spanish side Barcelona instead.

And Arsene Wenger is keen to keep the 18-year-old Dutchman so will try to beat PSV’s offer but the chance to return home from the Emirates Stadium could be tempting.

Arsenal manager Wenger is proud of his youth set up at the Gunners and, with the disappointment of missing out on Afellay, he will not want to sell to PSV.
