Chesterfield remain two points clear at the top of npower League Two after a 2-0 win at Aldershot.
The Spireites went ahead through top scorer Craig Davies in the 61st minute and they sealed the points through Danny Whitaker two minutes later.
A brace from defender John McCombe gave Port Vale a 2-1 home win over sixth-placed Wycombe to move them into second place.
McCombe put Vale ahead in the 11th minute before Dave Winfield equalised with his first goal for Wycombe five minutes later.
