Burnley defender Leon Cort has joined npower Championship strugglers Preston on an emergency loan until December 31.
The 31-year-old, who cost the Clarets £1.5million when he joined from Stoke in January, began his career at Millwall and could make his debut against the Lions at Deepdale on Saturday.
Cort told PNE Player: "I have got the chance to play some football and help Preston out. I know some of the lads here already so it is good to come here and join the battle."
He added: "With the players that are here, you feel that you will always score goals."
