Wing wizard rules out January Anfield move

The agent of Liverpool target Eden Hazard has categorically ruled out his client moving in the January transfer window.

His current club Lille yesterday revealed they expected a plethora of bids to come in for their wonderkid but hoped to keep him.

And the Ligue 1 leaders will be delighted with the comments from Hazard’s agent John Bico, who has laughed off a possible move to Liverpool.

Bico told “In January there is absolutely no way for him to leave the club. There is no chance he will be leaving.

“He will be staying at Lille most definitely. The only thing I can say regarding his future at the moment is that his main aim is to have the best season possible at Lille and that he will not leave in January, as he is at a good club.”

However, Bico did not rule it the possibility of a summer move to Anfield and it is likely Liverpool will continue to track his progress if they do not sign him in the forthcoming window.

“I won’t talk about what could happen in the summer but what I would say is there is absolutely no chance he will leave in January,” he added.

“He is in such fantastic form and there is no reason to look elsewhere. He is enjoying his football at the moment.”

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has identified the wing positions as his main priority and has been to France to watch Hazard’s team mate Gervinho at the weekend.

However, he came away from that game raving about Hazard’s performance but the Anfield boss may have to turn his attention back to the Ivorian after these developments.
