Harry Redknapp reckons Spurs are as good as anyone in the Premier League in terms of the depth of the squad and the exciting way they go about their business.
After the dramatic 2-1 win over Liverpool, Redknapp said: “With the quality we have got, we’re more than a match for anyone, for sure.”
In addition to their style, Spurs have also added steel and came back from behind to beat a serious rival for the second time in a week.
Last week, Arsenal were the ones to suffer, this time it was Liverpool’s turn as Aaron Lennon scored a 92nd minute winner to keep Spurs’ unlikely Premier League dream alive.
"The lads showed great character. To come back from behind again was just amazing," he told Sky Sports."I've had teams in the past at times when they go one down and you might as well go home.
"With this team we come back and keep going - there's goals, we're exciting, we play fantastic, open football and we're never out of a game.
"I think we've got the ability to always create chances, that's for sure. We're not a team that you can write off and go, 'they're going nowhere, are they?'
"Even if you're one down, we're always going to make plenty of opportunities and it's a case of sticking them away. I just feel we've got a belief in there that we can come from behind."
Whilst recognising the visitors had been ‘dangerous’ for much of the game, Redknapp added: "We had lots of good chances and, in the end, I felt we deserved the win. It was a great performance to come from one down."
A Tottenham comeback looked unlikely when substitute Jermain Defoe hooked a penalty wide when Liverpool were still in front.
Redknapp admitted: "When we missed the penalty I've got to be honest, I thought 'maybe it's not our day today'. But we kept going."
