Colchester will be without Marc Tierney and Andy Bond for the visit of Yeovil.

Both players underwent hernia operations last week and have been ruled out for at least a fortnight.

The Us have extended Tom Williams' loan spell from Bristol City for a third month and he will deputise for Tierney at left-back, while Anthony Wordsworth could come in for Bond in midfield.

Magnus Okuonghae is facing up to two months on the sidelines with an ankle injury so Pat Baldwin keeps his place at centre-half.

Steven Gillespie (thigh) and Simon Hackney (back) are still struggling and long-term absentees John-Joe O'Toole and Morten Knudsen (both knee) have been pencilled in for returns in the new year.

Yeovil boss Terry Skiverton will welcome four players back into his squad.

Gavin Williams returns after serving a one-match suspension against Bournemouth for collecting a total of five yellow cards during the season and could go straight back into the starting line-up.

Teenage defender Tom Parkes, signed on loan from Leicester, will be added to the squad and will be hoping for a start while Andy Welsh and Luke Freeman return after missing the defeat to Charlton through injury.

Ivan Sproule, on loan from Bristol City, made his debut against the Addicks and will be hoping to retain his place in the first XI while another loanee, Adam Phillip of Chelsea, will be hoping for his first start following two substitute appearances.
