Buckle flattered by Pirates interest

Torquay boss Paul Buckle has refused to rule out taking the reins at Bristol Rovers.

Buckle was not among the original set of names mentioned after former Pirates manager Paul Trollope was dismissed last week, but it is now believed that the npower League One club might well be interested.

"It's always flattering when you're mentioned in connection with any job at a higher level," Buckle told "It proves we're doing something right here."

He added: "All I'm thinking about is beating the weather and getting in some good training. We gave the players a couple of days off after the Rotherham game was called off.

"The players are back in on Tuesday and will be working every day over Christmas."
