Liverpool target Alexandr Kerzhakov has ruled out a move away from Zenit St Petersburg in January, insisting he is at home.
The 28-year-old has been with Zenit for the majority of his career, in two spells, and revealed he has no intention of moving elsewhere.
Liverpool have been weighing up their options in the transfer market, with attacking players being a priority in the upcoming transfer window.
Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson wants to bring in a partner for Fernando Torres in order to get the Spaniard back to his best form.
Kerzhakov was reportedly one of the players Hodgson and Damian Comolli had recommended to the Anfield club’s new owners as they prepare to start negotiations.
However, when quizzed on his future, he said: “I’m not planning to go anywhere. I feel at home here and I don’t want to move anywhere.”
Another stumbling block for Liverpool is likely to be the Russian club’s reluctance to sell, as they do not need money, being one of the richer clubs in Europe.
In fact, they have even been linked with audacious swoops for one of Petr Cech, Gianluigi Buffon or Frank Lampard.
