Huddersfield defender Lee Peltier will sit out his one-game ban when Hartlepool visit.

Peltier was due to miss the postponed game at Brentford last week but skipper Peter Clarke will return to the side following his suspension.

Midfielder Damien Johnson, on loan from Plymouth, has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to cruciate knee ligament damage and defender Gary Naysmith must wait a little longer for his return from a lengthy absence due to a broken bone in his foot.

Striker Benik Afobe, on loan from Arsenal, is expected to be recalled to the squad after recently returning to the Emirates Stadium to take part in an FA Youth Cup game for the Gunners.

Hartlepool could welcome back Andy Rafferty into their squad.

The goalkeeper has returned to training following a hand injury and is in contention, however, on-loan shotstopper Jake Kean is likely to retain his starting place.

First-choice goalkeeper Scott Flinders is still missing with a problem similar to Rafferty's, while young striker Billy Greulich also remains on the treatment table with an ankle problem.

Forward duo Denis Behan and Colin Larkin have not played since October and November respectively and although they have shaken off their injuries, they lack match fitness and are unlikely to start.

Hartlepool will be looking for a fourth consecutive win at the Galpharm Stadium, having recorded victories at Tranmere and Bournemouth in npower League One and over Yeovil in the FA Cup.
