Oxford boss Chris Wilder will be without the suspended Tom Craddock for the visit of Macclesfield, but could include defender Jake Wright in his squad again.

Six-goal striker Craddock serves a one-match suspension after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season last time out in the 2-1 win against Barnet three weeks ago, and was originally set to miss the clashes with first Lincoln, then Shrewsbury and then Stevenage on Boxing Day but all three games were postponed due to the weather.

Centre-back Wright has missed just the one game since he was substituted in the 2-1 win over Chesterfield back in November with a broken foot, and has returned to full training.

Midfielder Dannie Bulman and defender Laurence Gaughan will both be hoping for a place in the squad after they signed for the U's last week as cover for injuries, but both may have to settle for a place on the bench.

Defender Leigh Franks is expected to miss out with a hamstring injury, though striker Matt Green, midfielder Asa Hall and defender Ben Purkiss all return to contention.

Macclesfield boss Gary Simpson will again be without defenders Carl Tremarco and Shaun Brisley.

The pair remain sidelined with hip injuries but utility player Nat Brown is expected to be available after missing the Silkmen`s last outing against Gillingham on December 11.

Midfielder Lewis Chalmers should be back after limping out in the 11th minute against the Gills and on-loan Everton defender Aristote Nsiala is hoping to shake off a knock.

Simpson remains keen to bolster his squad next month, but will not put the club's financial health at risk.

He said: "The club quite rightly needs to balance its books. There's also a lot to be said for freshening the place up, and new players can help you do that."
