Chesterfield manager John Sheridan was full of praise for Jack Lester after the veteran striker bagged a hat-trick to help the npower League Two leaders sink Stockport 4-1.
Lester's second strike was a particularly eye-catching effort after County had gone in level at the break due to Dwayne Mattis' own goal.
Sheridan said: "Jack Lester won us the game, his second goal was one of the best I've seen, but he's scored many a goal like that. It's just a shame he's not five years younger."
Former Oldham boss Sheridan was also at pains to share the praise around the whole team after a fine second-half display proved to be too much for the visitors who held their own for long periods.
"I think our second-half performance was really good," he added.
"They played a system which was giving us a problem but I think once we changed the system and matched them up we were the better side."
