Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani looks set to make his loan move to Juventus permanent while Daniel Agger has warned he could make a similiar move.
Danish centre back Agger has been frustrated with his lack of first team football this season and has admitted he is willing to move on if he continues to sit on the bench.
Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for yet another central defender, which is bound to upset Agger further and cement his reasons for leaving.
Juventus are one team reportedly interested in ending his time at Anfield and their cause could be helped by Aquilani, who is currently on loan in Turin from Liverpool.
Agger said: "If I'm not playing in the Liverpool team on a regular basis then I am ready to move on."
“I have only just returned from three months out injured so I am in no position at the moment to say I must be in the side for every game.
“But once I have made a few appearances and regained full fitness, I would expect to be starting games. If I'm not playing, I can't see a reason for staying.”
The defender made his first appearance since recovering from a calf inujry against Bolton recently but he expectes to be in Liverpool’s starting eleven more often than not.
Meanwhile, Aquilani has enjoyed his time back in his homeland and, while he appreciates his spell in England, is desperate to leave Anfield.
"The release from Liverpool depends only on Juventus but I think there will be," his agent, Franco Zavaglia told Radio Sportiva.
“Alberto is very, very happy in Turin and has found an environment where he can express himself.
“[But] The English experience has been good, it has enriched his international background,” he added.
