Oldham have signed rookie Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Amos on loan for the remainder of the season ahead of the visit of Swindon.

The 20-year-old has made two first-team appearances for United this season, featuring in the Carling Cup win against Wolves and last month's Champions League draw versus Valencia.

Latics boss Paul Dickov will be without defender Jean-Yves Mvoto after he damaged ankle ligaments in Monday's 2-1 derby defeat against Rochdale.

The towering centre-half is waiting for swelling to go down before he can have a scan, but he looks set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The Latics have terminated the contract of veteran defender Sean Gregan, who has been on a three-month loan at Fleetwood.

He had been at the club four years but Neal Trotman, who completed his loan spell on Monday, has re-signed from Preston until the end of the season.

Swindon finally welcome back captain Jonathan Douglas.

The midfielder saw red in the 3-2 FA Cup defeat to non-league Crawley at the start of December but, due to the recent raft of postponements, only completed his three-match ban in Monday`s impressive 4-2 victory at Charlton.

Douglas now returns to the fold but whether manager Danny Wilson changes his winning formula to accommodate him remains to be seen, with Michael Timlin, Simon Ferry and David Prutton working well in the middle of the park in a new 4-5-1 system at The Valley.

Full-back Alan Sheehan (hamstring) missed the triumph over the Addicks and is again touch and go to be available at Boundary Park, while goalkeeper David Lucas (knee) also remains doubtful.
