Doncaster have completed the signing of defender Matt Kilgallon on loan from Sunderland.
Kilgallon, 27, will stay at the Keepmoat Stadium until the end of the season after spending the first half of the campaign on loan at npower Championship rivals Middlesbrough.
Rovers chairman John Ryan said: "We're delighted to welcome Matt to Doncaster Rovers. The major shareholders of the board have once again clubbed together to show ambition by bringing in another player of Premier League quality."
York-born Kilgallon, who began his career at Leeds and made his first-team debut at Elland Road in 2004, moved on to Sheffield United in 2007 and made more than 100 appearances before joining Sunderland for a fee in the region of £2million in January 2010.
But the former England Under-21 international struggled to settle on Wearside and in August agreed to go out on loan to Middlesbrough, for whom he has featured on only three occasions this season.
