Dutch left-sider Urby Emanuelson could be on his way to the Barclays Premier League with Arsenal and Liverpool both interested according to the Telegraph.

The newspaper reports that Emanuelson is a target for both clubs and a deal could be wrapped up in the final 16 days of the January transfer window.

Emanuelson can play both as a left-winger and as a wing-back and Liverpool in particular are looking to strengthen in that area with new manager Kenny Dalglish not favouring Paul Konchesky.

Emanuelson has 16 goals in 151 league games for the Dutch giants and Liverpool have certainly scored a lack of goals from midfield.

Reports claim that Dalglish and director of football strategy Damien Comolli are hoping to sign four players for Liverpool during the transfer window and Lille duo Gervinho and Eden Hazard are also thought to be on their wishlist.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are hoping Emanuelson will see Arsenal's title chances as a factor when deciding which club he joins.
