Arsenal are reportedly considering a bid for Barcelona forward Pedro.

According to Tuttomercato, the north London club are thought to be keen on the Spaniard - who is valued at €25 million by transfer valuation website transfermarkt.

Pedro, 23, will have hardly endeared himself to Arsenal fans in the past after admitting he would love to link up with Cesc Fabregas at the Nou Camp.

"Cesc is doing fantastic, he's thinking only about the national team and he's relaxed," he told Marca.

"Of course I would like to have him at Barca.

"He has been playing away (from Spain) for a long time, he knows the club and he would adapt quickly."

However, Pedro could yet link up with the Arsenal skipper at the Emirates if recent reports are to believed.

The versatile attacker would certainly provide Arsenal with some added dynamism in their bid to end their trophy drought, but whether or not Arsene Wenger makes his move remains to be seen.

The Arsenal boss is known for his frugality in the transfer market, although he is reportedly on the lookout for attacking reinforcements.

With the chequered injury history of Robin van Persie - as well as the reported departure of Nicklas Bendtner - playing on the mind of Wenger, he could yet dip into his transfer reserve in order to bring another forward to Arsenal.
