Harry Redknapp is interested in signing a striker in the transfer window with Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano and Porto's Hulk two names heavily linked with a move.
With the departure of Robbie Keane likely to happen before the end of January, Redknapp is keen to bolster his strikeforce that will include Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch and Roman Pavlyuchenko.
Spurs are interested in Fabiano and they were reported to have tabled a €15million bid but his agent says he hasn't heard anything.
"Sevilla have said nothing to me. If they [Tottenham] have bid 15 million Euros, surely they would have called me?" Jose Fuentes told Radio Seville.
"The money would be received with happiness, but they have said nothing to me."
Fabiano has hit five goals in nine La Liga starts this season and has also attracted interest from Italian giants Juventus.
As for Hulk, the Daily Mail are reporting that Spurs are testing Porto's will to hold onto the Brazilian by tabling a large bid.
It has been reported in Portugal that Spurs scouts have watched Hulk more than 30 times in the last two years - including on five times recently.
Redknapp has changed his preferred system at White Hart Lane to accommodate Rafael van der Vaart playing behind a lone striker and the Spurs boss is in the market for specialist centre forwards.
Hulk has hit 24 goals in 27 games this season and Porto recently renegotiated the 24-year-old's contract by increasing his release clause up from £34million to £84m.
One thing that may put Spurs off the frontman is that he is only half-owned by league leaders, with investors controlling the other 50%.
Roma striker Mirko Vucinic has also been linked with a move to North London but his agent has quashed suggestions
"Vucinic, outside of what is written in the newspapers, is very quiet and calm," Alessandro Lucci told fcinternews.it.
