Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has hinted that he may recall some of his players from loan duty.
The Gunners chief has several injuries to contend with at the Emirates at the present time, and with 17 players plying their trade outside the club the Frenchman has revealed that he could recall some back to Arsenal.
"We have Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, we have especially Henri Lansbury who has gone on loan. I can [recall Kyle Bartley] but he has not played at all in the Premier League," Wenger told the official Arsenal website.
Injuries picked up in the weekend FA Cup victory have left Arsenal struggling for bodies in the midfield area in particular, but the rules and regulations with regards to re-calling loan players means Wenger will have to wait with regards to some players.
"Denilson looks to have a hamstring problem but certainly less serious than Nasri," noted Wenger. "But I have given a few players on loan, I might recall some."
"It is difficult at the moment. Ramsey is out on loan for one month. If it is a month you have to wait for the month unless we have exceptional injuries, then you can have the request [to recall a player]."
Captain Cesc Fabregas has also suffered injury problems this season, and the centre of defence continues to cause the north London outfit problems with the long-term absence of Thomas Vermaelen.
Arsenal were linked with several players during the January transfer window, but were unable to secure deals for any of their targets.
Still challenging on four trophy fronts, the Gunners may be forced into calling back some youngsters and throwing them into first team action.
