Arsenal are reportedly planning a summer move for Barcelona pair Sergi Samper and Ballester Pol.

According to talkSPORT, the teenage duo - who are currently part of Barca's renowned Cantera youth set up - are in the crosshairs of a number of top European clubs, although Arsenal appear to be favourites for their signatures.

Samper - who has been compared to Arsenal captain, Cesc Fabregas - has yet to pen a professional contract with the Catalan club and it was reported that the Gunners would offer him a four-year-deal during the transfer window.

However, Arsenal failed to act and - according the Spanish press - will return in the summer in an attempt to bring the 15-year-old to the Emirates Stadium.

Pol, an up-and-coming goalkeeper, is also a reported target of Tottenham, but Arsenal are thought to be confident they can tie up a deal for both him and Samper in the closed season.

Should Arsenal complete the signing of the Barca starlets, then they would be following in the footsteps of Fabregas who moved to the Gunners from Cantera aged just 16.

The Spaniard has since progressed into one of the most talented midfielders in world football, and Arsenal are expect to have to fight of interest from his former club in the summer, who are keen to see him return to the Nou Camp.
