Brentford have sacked manager Andy Scott, according to TalkSPORT.

The Bees currently lie just two places and two points above the relegation zone in npower League One and fans have been unhappy with results for some time.

The Hounslow Chronicle yesterday quoted him as saying: “I'm doing my job until told otherwise. I'm working hard to turn things around. If they (the fans) have another opinion, it's up to them.
“It's my job, and I will keep working hard. The board are backing me, so there's no point talking about it anymore.”

Scott joined Brentford in December 2007 and has won 64 of his 168 games in charge, drawing 55 and losing 49.

Brentford face crisis club Plymouth on Saturday and it has been reported that striker Nicky Forster will take temporary charge.

The news comes after fellow League One side Sheffield Wednesday sacked manager Alan Irvine earlier today.
