Elliot Benyon is set to answer Swindon`s SOS call when he makes his debut against Rochdale.
The Robins slumped into League One`s relegation zone with Tuesday`s 3-2 defeat at Bournemouth, meaning they have now won just one of their last nine games.
One goal in five games prior to their reverse at Dean Court, combined with the loss of talismanic striker Charlie Austin, left Danny Wilson longing for attacking reinforcements and he landed Benyon with just an hour to spare ahead of Monday`s 11pm transfer deadline.
The former Torquay man was not registered in time to feature on Tuesday but will now start against Dale and is charged with the task of firing last season`s play-off finalists up the table.
Fellow striker Vincent Pericard (knee), defender Lecsinel Jean-Francois and youngster Billy Bodin (ankle) will again be assessed ahead of kick-off.
Goalkeeper David Lucas (knee) continues to miss out.
Rochdale boss Keith Hill could hand a debut to defender Robbie Williams.
The 26-year-old joined Dale from Stockport earlier this week on a short-term contract until the end of the season.
Alan Goodall moved in the opposite direction, leaving Rochdale and heading to Edgeley Park in search of a regular first-team football.
Hill has no injury or suspension concerns and said: "I believe success this year will be to keep our place in League One, but then we have to build on that.
"That doesn't mean one, two or three seasons, it means five or six seasons."
