Ipswich cruised to a third straight win under Paul Jewell as Sheffield United were dispatched 3-0 in the npower Championship with the Blades ending the game with nine men.

Damien Delaney headed home a fine 29th-minute free-kick from on-loan midfielder Jimmy Bullard at Portman Road and set up David Norris to double the lead.

Town could even afford a missed penalty from Grant Leadbitter before Connor Wickham grabbed a late third.

United's misery was compounded when Rob Kozluk and Lee Williamson were dismissed.

James Vaughan, on loan from Everton, slammed home his seventh goal of the season to give Crystal Palace a 1-0 win over Middlesbrough.

Steve Davies gave Derby a 1-0 lead at Portsmouth with a close-range finish in the 33rd minute but the hosts snatched a point in the last minute through David Nugent.

Another late goal, from Kevin Lisbie, earned Millwall a 1-0 win over Doncaster and Davide Somma's goal saw Leeds beat Coventry by the same scoreline.
