Brilliant Bull buoys Waddock

Wycombe manager Gary Waddock hailed goalkeeper Nikki Bull after his late penalty save earned a 1-1 draw against Port Vale.

Bull kept out Tom Pope's late spot-kick to secure his side a point at Adams Park, after Scott Donnelly scored his first goal for the Chairboys to cancel out Leon Johnson's own goal.

"What can you say about Nikki Bull? He's made a fantastic penalty save and we've managed to get a point because of it," said Waddock.

"I don't know what to say about him because ever since he's been at the club he's been brilliant.

"I'm very pleased with the point because when we went behind we didn't let it affect us - we kept going and got the rewards I felt we deserved.

"We kept going in the second half by trying to break them down and cause them problems and we just didn't have that finish in the end."
