Matt Paterson should be included in Stockport`s squad for the home clash with Bury after arriving on a month`s loan from Southend.

Paterson, 21, had made just one appearance for the Shrimpers since October and has moved to Edgeley Park in search of regular first-team football.

His arrival goes some way to offsetting the departure of Blackpool duo Ishmel Demontagnac and Stephen Husband.

The pair have completed their one-month loan spells and returned to the Barclays Premier League outfit.

Defender Matthew Grieve's loan spell from Newcastle has been cut short by a facial injury and County lie rock-bottom of npower League Two with 16 games remaining.

However, boss Peter Ward has no new injury or suspension concerns.

Bury boss Alan Knill will be without Manchester United youngster Nicky Ajose for the short trip to Edgeley Park.

The 19-year-old, who is on loan at Gigg Lane until the end of the season, sustained a knee injury in training on Sunday.

He is now set for several weeks on the sidelines but Andy Bishop is fully fit again.

Bishop marked his first start since September with an eighth-minute opener in Tuesday's 3-0 home win over Stevenage and impressed alongside Ryan Lowe.

Knill said: "Nicky is definitely going to miss a few games, but we don't know for how long.

"I am gutted for Nicky because he is a top lad and I thought he was just starting to find some good form again."
