Early substitute Matt Done's 15th-minute strike and Gary Jones' penalty (27) earning victory despite Gary Madine's last-minute goal.

Dagenham and Redbridge moved off the bottom of the table with a 2-1 win over Yeovil. Romain Vincelot's opener was quickly cancelled out by Oli Johnson but Jon Nurse grabbed a winner.

Bristol Rovers replaced the Daggers after a 4-1 humbling at Leyton Orient. Jimmy Smith (five) and Andrew Whing (16) put Orient ahead and, after Ben Chorley's 52nd-minute own goal halved the margin, substitute Harry Kane's brace (77, 82) rounded off victory.

Steve Tully and Matthew Taylor condemned Notts County to a 2-0 defeat at home to Exeter but Swindon remained in the relegation zone, a point behind the Magpies, after they were sunk by Steven Gillespie's late goal at Colchester. Scott Cuthbert had given the Robins hope after David Mooney's early penalty.

Lateef Elford-Alliyu's brace set Tranmere on their way to a 3-1 win at Plymouth.

Enoch Showunmi grabbed the third before Joe Mason's late consolation.
