Graham Westley will check on a handful of players as Stevenage prepare to host Oxford.

Midfield pair Michael Bostwick and John Mousinho both missed Saturday`s narrow 1-0 defeat at Shrewsbury through injury and will be assessed ahead of the encounter.

Forward Ben May failed to recover from a minor knock in time to feature and will also be checked on, along with midfielder Darren Murphy as he works his way back from an ongoing shoulder problem.

Ronnie Henry, Craig Reid and Joel Byrom were recalled at the Greenhous Meadow while striker Taiwo Atieno was handed his debut but it was not enough to stop Boro from extending their winless streak to five games.

And Westley will be desperate to end that run against an Oxford side who joined his in gaining promotion from the Blue Square Premier last term but currently find themselves on the fringe of the play-off places.

Simon Hackney could make his first start for Oxford.

The tricky winger has made three impressive substitute appearances for the Us since his arrival including an exciting 35 minute cameo during the 2-1 win over Rotherham at the weekend.

Midfielder Jack Midson, who got a rare start against the Millers, could make way if manager Chris Wilder decides to make include Hackney.

Defender Damien Batt is the only player at the club unavailable as he serves the third and final game of his suspension for a red card at Southend on February 1.

Sam Deering is unavailable due to his loan spell at Barnet and striker Mitchell Cole has retired from the game with a heart condition after seeking medical advice.

The 25-year-old had made just five appearances for the club this season.
