Liverpool striker target Ezequiel Lavezzi continues to be linked with Anfield.

The Napoli forward has been in fine form for the Serie 'A' outfit this season, leading to reports that Liverpool were interested in bringing the player to Merseyside.

Imscouting.com made the claim a week ago, and various websites and sources in the British media continue to link the player with a Barclays Premier League move to Liverpool.

Lavezzi was also in impressive form in the Europa League, ironically against Liverpool, before Steven Gerrard came off the bench to rescue the Reds in their home clash against the Italian side.

Despite spending over £55 million on strikers in January, it's thought that Dalglish is keen to add another to his ranks in the summer and add depth to his Liverpool squad in a variety of positions.

Valued at around €20 million, 'El Pocho' can also play in the second striker position and has an impressive assists record for both club and country.

It's unknown if the Argentine international is interested in a move to Liverpool, although the opportunity to play in England is likely to appeal to the 25-year-old.
