Stockport could hand a debut to new signing Ryan Doble in the home clash with derby rivals Macclesfield.

The Wales Under-21 striker has joined on a month`s loan from Southampton but may be forced to settle for a place on the bench.

A debut strike from on-loan Southend striker Matt Paterson and Anthony Elding's first goal since making the move back to Edgeley Park sealed a 2-1 home win over Bury last weekend.

County's first win in 10 games and their first at Edgeley Park since October lifted the Hatters off the bottom of League Two.

Caretaker boss Peter Ward - who has no injuries or suspensions - said: "The Bury result has given everyone a boost and we've got to take that into Saturday."

Macclesfield defender Shaun Brisley is set to be passed fit for the derby.

Brisley has been nursing a hip injury recently and then picked up a knock in a reserve match, yet he is still expected to be available for the Edgeley Park showdown.

Physio Nick Reid said of Brisley: "He has missed training this week, but he should be available for Saturday."

Carl Tremarco is also recovering from a hip injury and is expected to remain sidelined for at least another week.

Defender Paul Morgan is still recovering from swelling to his foot but is back in training and will be assessed.

Vinny Mukendi is set to miss out again with a knee injury, while a similar complaint is set to rule out veteran forward Simon Yeo.
