Huddersfield's leading goalscorer Jordan Rhodes could return to the starting line-up in the home game with Leyton Orient.

Rhodes stepped off the substitutes' bench in the midweek draw at Dagenham following a five-game lay-off due to an ankle injury and came through unscathed.

But midfielder Antony Kay sits out the second of a two-game suspension after reaching 10 bookings for the season and central defender Jamie McCombe remains doubtful after missing out on Tuesday night through illness.

Left-back Gary Naysmith is still struggling with the calf strain that sidelined him in midweek, but midfielder Scott Arfield has recovered from the virus that ruled him out of the recent draw at Bournemouth and is pushing for a return to the starting XI.

Promotion-chasing Town are unbeaten in their last 10 league games, but have drawn their last three.

FA Cup hero Jonathan Tehoue is set to be on the bench again for Orient.

The French striker came on as a second-half substitute against Arsenal on Sunday and grabbed a memorable late equaliser to earn his side a fifth-round replay at the Emirates.

But boss Russell Slade will continue to utilise Tehoue as an impact player from the bench, meaning Alex Revell and Scott McGleish will start in attack once more.

Utility-man Jason Crowe needs a late fitness check on the ankle injury which forced him off against the Gunners.

Matthew Spring is still doubful with the calf problem which has kept him out for the last three matches and fellow midfielder Adam Chambers remains sidelined with a shin injury.
