Oldham boss Paul Dickov will be without midfielder Dean Furman for the home clash with Peterborough.

Furman collected his 10th booking of the season in Tuesday's goalless draw at MK Dons and now begins a two-match ban, ruling him out of this weekend's match.

However, the Latics hope to have Dale Stephens as a ready-made replacement after he recovered from the virus which has kept him out of the last four matches.

Captain and central defender Reuben Hazell was also an absentee against the Dons in midweek due to a back strain picked up in training.

He had missed the two previous games through suspension and will be assessed ahead of this fixture.

Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson is set to rotate his squad.

Ferguson admitted after the 1-1 draw with Colchester in midweek that some of his side were looking shattered following a run of six games in 21 days, so he will make changes.

The likes of left-back Tom Kennedy, defender Kelvin Langmead, striker David Ball and wingers Tommy Rowe, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Arron Davies could all come into contention.

Central defender Gabriel Zakuani has recovered from a shoulder injury but midfielder Lee Frecklington is set for an operation on his hernia which will keep him out for another month.

Striker Dave Hibbert is the only other absentee as he steps up his comeback from a dislocated knee suffered back in November.

A win at Boundary Park could see Ferguson's side climb above Huddersfield into third place.
