Former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse is being linked with a shock Barclays Premier League return.
The French international won a Champions League winners medal during his two year spell at Anfield, scoring his penalty for Liverpool in the famous penalty shoot-out win against AC Milan.
Cisse left Liverpool for Marseille in 2006, but has since returned to England with Sunderland before moving to his current club, Panathanaikos in Greece.
Click Liverpool reports that Blackburn are now interested in bringing the striker back for a third spell on these shores, although the Lancashire Telegraph reports that the player's agent is unaware of interest from the Ewood Park outfit.
The striker scored 22 goals during his first spell at Liverpool, although it was disrupted heavily by a severe leg break, which ironically occurred at Ewood Park.
His recovery has been nothing short of spectacular though, and the 29-year-old is still a wanted man despite another leg break later in his career.
A return to England would be heralded by both Liverpool and Blackburn fans, were the later able to secure the signature.
