Arsenal are being linked with a shcok move for Liverpool stopper Pepe Reina.

The Spanish international has been linked with a move away from his current club, and the Daily Star reports that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could make a summer bid for the player.

Reina would cost the Gunners in the region of €23 million, and his consistency in the Barclays Premier League makes him one of the most sort after players in England amidst speculation he's considering his future at Anfield.

Arsenal have been linked with a string of goalkeepers in recent months, with none of the club's current top three making the spot their own at the Emirates.

Wojciech Szczesny has recently earned the number one spot recently, and the Pole has produced improved performances in recent months. However, his error in the Carling Cup final has highlighted the problem that's plagued Arsenal for several seasons, and Wenger is now set to move in the transfer market.

A key factor in a potential move is Champions League football, with the stopper keen to ply his trade at the top level. Arsenal could be able to pounce, should Liverpool fail to make it into the top four this season.

With three other Spaniards following Rafa Benitez out the exit door on Merseyside, Reina could be next with Arsenal keen to land the stopper.
