Ferguson lauds Hernandez signing

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes the summer signing of Javier Hernandez was a steal.

The 22-year-old has scored 14 goals during his first season in English football after signing for United for £7 million last summer, before staring for Mexico at the World Cup in South Africa.

And Ferguson thinks the Mexican international is a real find.

“We have done fantastically well there, no doubt. We’ve stolen him! It was quite a long process involved in bringing him here, and we’d prefer that," Ferguson told Inside United.

“We analysed him and found out about his background. We got him across to England and sealed all the contracts. It was a good bit of business.

"His international record is incredible actually. He’s scoring almost a goal a game. It’s quite amazing.”
