Sheffield United defender Shane Lowry could return to the starting line-up following suspension as manager Micky Adams ponders changes at Nottingham Forest.

Lowry, on loan from Aston Villa, has missed the last two games and although Adams has no new injury or suspension worries, he could be tempted to tinker with his line-up as he chases his first win in charge at Bramall Lane in 14 games.

Midfielder Nick Montgomery (knee), striker Sam Vokes (hamstring), on loan from Wolves, and another loanee, West Brom defender Joe Mattock (ankle/knee), all returned to the substitutes' bench on Saturday and could be included in Adams' side.

Skipper Chris Morgan, fellow defenders Andy Taylor and Ryan France, goalkeeper Richard Wright and striker Darius Henderson remain sidelined.

The Blades are second-bottom of the table, six points adrift of safety with 11 games remaining.

Forest boss Billy Davies hopes to welcome back influential skipper Paul McKenna.

The midfielder was absent due to a knee injury as the Reds` proud 36-game unbeaten league run at the City Ground was ended by Hull on Saturday.

"Paul should be okay for Tuesday. That is a boost because we missed him against Hull," said Davies. "We missed him for his leadership, his positional play and his organisation."

McKenna was one of seven key players sidelined by injury on Saturday, with Guy Moussi, Nathan Tyson, Dexter Blackstock, Robbie Findley, Kelvin Wilson and Joel Lynch also missing out.

Davies added: "We are probably looking at Swansea (on March 19) for a number of the players to come back. We could be looking at Tyson and Moussi for that game."

Dele Adebola, Garath McCleary and David McGoldrick are available for recalls should Davies wish to make further changes at Bramall Lane.
