Liverpool fans will still be celebrating a famous victory at Anfield yesterday, as Dirk Kuyt's hat-trick helped the Reds to a 3-1 win against arch-rivals Manchester United.
In the other Sunday game, Jermain Defoe and Kevin Doyle both struck twice in a classic 3-3 draw at Molineux.
On the injury front, United suffered another setback with Luis Nani stretchered off with a 'deep gash' in his leg. Antonio Valencia is close to a first team return though.
Elsewhere, Jack Wilshere suffered an ankle scare in the 0-0 draw against Sunderland, although has vowed to be fit to face Barcelona on Tuesday.
Reports in the press also claim Adam Johnson is closing on an early return for Manchester City having recovered from an ankle injury at Eastlands.
Dirk Kuyt reflected on his Liverpool heroics: "It was perfect. You always drem about scoring a hat-trick and to get one against United is the best feeling ever."
While Bobby Zamora was also in high spirits after his first goal sice returning for Fulham. "I'm happy to play my part coming off the bench. Clint (Dempsey) picked up the ball and handed it to me. I only had one thing in my mind."
