Reported Arsenal target Kevin Gameiro has been identified as a potential summer acquisition by Tottenham.
The Lorient striker has been in fine fettle this season - scoring 15 times in 24 Ligue 1 matches - and has impressed a number of potential suitors with his goalscoring prowess.
Gameiro recently found the net seven times in four games - including a hat-trick against Bordeaux last month - to further highlight his ability in front of goal and the People reports that the Frenchman is at the 'top' of Spurs' summer shopping list.
Metro had previously linked Arsenal with a move for the 23-year-old and they could go toe-to-toe with Spurs in pursuit of Gameiro when the transfer window reopens in June.
Tottenham are known to be keen to add striking reinforcements to their ranks and a deal for Gameiro would certainly be an exciting proposition for the north London club.
The diminutive hitman is surprisingly strong for his 5ft 5ins and continues to terrorise defences in France but is seemingly destined for a move away from Lorient at the end of the season.
West Ham have previously considered joining Arsenal and Spurs in their pursuit of Gameiro, but Lorient have not given up hope of him remaining at Stade du Moustoir.
"He has 18 months remaining on his contract so we can imagine three possibilities - he will remain until the end of his contract, he will be transferred next summer or he will extend at Lorient," Loic Fery - president of the French club - told L'Equipe.
"Let him go at the end of his contract, transfer him this summer or extend his deal at Lorient.
"We've made considerable efforts - so far unsuccessfully - to try to extend his contract. I have not given up. Nothing is ruled out."
Should Arsenal or Spurs make an official move for Gameiro, then £13 million would reporteldy be enough sign him.
