Birmingham City full-back Stephen Carr is being targeted for transfer by Fulham and Stoke City, reports skysports.com.

The 34-year-old was part of the victorious Blues team that beat Arsenal in last Sunday's Carling Cup final, and his superb form since coming out of retirement to join City hasn't gone unnoticed.

Carr has a year to run on his current deal, and has a return to European football to look forward to after Birmingham's Wembley success.

The former Republic of Ireland international, having previously had spells at Tottenham Hotsphur and Newcastle United, has been an ever-present since joining Alex McLeish's side and was rewarded for his consistency by being named captain in 2009.
