Nathan Stanton is a doubt for Burton ahead of the visit of Lincoln.

The defender is nursing a groin strain following the 4-1 defeat to Crewe on Saturday.

Club captain Darren Moore is likely to partner Tony James at centre-half should Stanton miss out.

Boss Paul Peschisolido had been hoping to see his injury list eased after the versatile Aaron Webster (calf), defender Scott Malone (thigh) and striker Calvin Zola (hamstring) were ruled out at Gresty Road.

Midfielder Simon Whaley and striker Sam Winnall may have done enough to earn starting places after impressing from the bench against Crewe.

Jimmy Phillips, Luke Young and Richard Walker are also options in midfield and attack for Peschisolido, whose side are precariously perched just above the relegation zone.

Lincoln boss Steve Tilson will choose from an unchanged squad.

However, Tilson has limited options should he wish to make changes with a handful of players sidelined through injury.

Defenders Paul Green and Patrick Kanyuka along with strikers Ben Hutchinson and Scott Spencer are available for rare, starts though.

Luke Howell faces up to three weeks on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury against Oxford, while fellow midfielder Clark Keltie continues to struggle with a thigh problem.

On-loan Arsenal full-back Gavin Hoyte has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with the knee injury he sustained against Chesterfield last month.

Joe Anyon play no part after joining League Two rivals Morecambe on loan.
