Arsenal defender Gael Clichy has put Real Madrid on alert by claiming he doesn't know if he will sign a new contract with the Gunners.
Just hours before Arsenal's crucial Champions League last-16 second leg clash with Barcelona, the 25-year-old has said he refuses to discuss a new deal until the end of the season.
"Will I prolong my contract? I don't know and I don't think about it," Clichy told L'Equipe.
"The season is still long. I will have time to think about it in the summer."
The Frenchman's indecision will surprise many at the London club, as Clichy has been the mainstay of the Arsenal back-four with over 250 appearances to his name.
The left-back turned down the advances of Real Madrid in 2009 to stay with Arsene Wenger's side, but with Arsenal's six year-wait for the trophy still proving to be an unwanted burden, Clichy may seek a move to Jose Mourinho's side in seek of some domestic success.
