Arsenal travel to Barcelona tonight in the Champions League last 16 second leg, defending a slender 2-1 advantage from the first clash a fortnight ago.

The Gunners have been inconsistent since the original meeting, having been forced into an FA Cup replay against Leyton Orient and losing to Birmingham City in the Carling Cup final.

Arsene Wenger has been handed a major injury boost though, with Robin Van Persie a possible starter after an improbable recovery from injury.

Cesc Fabregas is also '90%' likely to start, while Jack Wilshere confirmed his availability despite picking up an ankle injury against Sunderland on Saturday.

Barcelona have problems of their own, with Carlos Puyol and Gerard Pique both out and goalkeeper Victor Valdes set to miss out as well.

Gabriel Millito and Eric Abidal are tipped to start in the central defensive position, and the news should give the Emirates outfit confidence ahead of the Nou Camp challenge.

"It's one of the toughest tests, yes. Barcelona at the moment are the best team in the world at the moment, and if you knock them out straight away you have a good chance of winning the competition," said Wenger in his pre-match press conference.
