Reported Liverpool target Bojan Krkic is being pursued by Juventus, it has been claimed.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Italian giants are monitoring the situation of the Barcelona striker as he struggles to displace Pep Guardiola's preferred front trio of David Villa, Lionel Messi and Pedro.

It was initially reported by Spanish publication Sport that Liverpool were chasing the 20-year-old with a view to a substantial summer bid.

Marca has since claimed that Liverpool director of football strategy Damien Comolli is 'confident' of signing the Spain international when the transfer reopens - but Barca are reported to only be willing to sanction a season-long loan.

Liverpool are known to be in the market for attacking reinforcements to offer extra goalscoring options alongside Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez but will have their work cut out in the race to sign Bojan.

Along with Juventus, Arsenal and Tottenham will allegedly rival Liverpool in pursuit of the €20 million-rated forward and a deal for Bojan would undoubtedly represent quite a coup for any of his reported suitors.

Meanwhile - should Bojan move to Turin - he may be joined at Juventus by current teammate Javier Mascherano after La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that the Serie A side were courting the former Liverpool midfielder.
