Huddersfield move into second

Jordan Rhodes' solitary goal earned Huddersfield victory at Bristol Rovers and took them into second in the npower League One table, though Peterborough and Southampton in third and fourth have one game and two games in hand on them respectively.

On-loan Paul-Jose M'Poku stepped off the bench to grab a late winner for Leyton Orient against Oldham as they continued to improve their play-off prospects, with the 1-0 victory putting them seventh in the table.

Hartlepool lie three points behind them after ending Plymouth's three-game winning streak with a comfortable 2-0 victory at Victoria Park, courtesy of goals from Anthony Sweeney and Ryan Donaldson.

Fellow play-off chasers Charlton slipped to a last-gasp defeat to London rivals Brentford, who secured three points and a 1-0 victory through Leon Legge's 89th-minute header.

Exeter also celebrated a 1-0 victory, with Jamie Cureton's first-half strike separating the teams at Spotland as Rochdale fell to a third successive defeat.

Exeter's west country rivals Yeovil were held to 1-1 draw with Walsall, who took the lead through Jon Macken before Andrew Williams equalised with his eighth goal of the season.

Alan Gow's penalty gave Notts County an impressive 1-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday while a a fortunate goal from Jon Nurse rescued a point for Dagenham & Redbridge against Swindon, whose winless run stretched to 14 games after throwing away Mike Grella's lead.
