Liverpool were forced to work hard against Norwich City but, in the end, they got the job done.Jurgen Klopp’s side, who’d won 24 of their 25 league fixtures prior to their trip to Carrow Road, eventually found the breakthrough thanks to Sadio Mane’s superb 80th-minute winner.In what was a surprisingly even contest between the Premier League’s top and bottom sides, Norwich not only defended resolutely but also threatened to take the lead on a couple of occasions.In the end, though, it was the league leaders who scored the winning goal. The Premier League trophy is surely heading to Anfield in the next few weeks.For Liverpool’s first-team stars, this was their first game since beating Southampton 4-0 on February 1.

But the two-week break appeared to have done little other than disrupt the Reds’ momentum.

However, just when it looked as if Liverpool might drop points for only the second time this season, substitute Mane popped up to score his 100th goal in English football.
