Manchester United and Manchester City will lock horns in the FA Cup semi-final after the great rivals booked their places at Wembley with quarter-final wins over Arsenal and Reading respectively.

Goals from Fabio Da Silva and Wayne Rooney were enough to see United past the Gunners at Old Trafford, while a header from Micah Richard's downed a spirited Reading. United will be hoping to silence their 'noisy neighbours' in pursuit of a record 12th FA Cup, with City chasing their first trophy since 1976

In the weekend's other FA Cup ties, a stoppage time winner from Lee Chung-Yong gave Bolton victory over Birmingham and Stoke beat West Ham 2-1 at the Britannia Stadium. The Trotters and the Potters will now face each other in the semi-final on the weekend of April 16th/17th.

Despite crashing out of a second cup competition in the space of four days, Arsenal were buoyed by the return of Aaron Ramsey after a horrific leg-break left him sidelined for almost a year. However, the Gunners will now be without Johan Djourou for the remainder of the season after the defender suffered a dislocated shoulder against United.

In transfer news, reports claim Manchester United are monitoring Atletico Madrid goalkeeper David de Gea, while Chelsea are chasing AC Milan's veteran midfielder Massimo Ambrosini.
