Bury boss Alan Knill will be without defenders Efe Sodje and Phil Picken for the home clash with Torquay.

Both men picked up their 10th bookings of the season during Saturday`s goalless draw at Rotherham and now begin two-match suspensions.

Knill admits the pair`s absence will stretch his squad to the limit and is trying to bring in a loan signing.

The Shakers manager said: "I asked around the dressing room if anyone fancied playing centre back or right back, and there wasn't too many takers. Either we force them into it or we try our best to try to get someone."

Midfielder Damien mozika is available following a two-game suspension and defender Ben Futcher is hopeful of being named in the squad after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Richard Eckersley is in line to make his debut after signing on loan from Burnley until the end of the season.

Torquay boss Paul Buckle will have Billy Kee available for the trip.

The 20-year-old striker was left out of the squad for Saturday's 5-0 win over promotion-hopefuls Shrewsbury so he could rest an ongoing ankle injury, but could be recalled for the Shakers clash.

However, he may have to be content with a place among the substitutes following Jake Robinson's brace and Gavin Tomlin's debut goal against the Shrews.

Buckle has no fresh injury or suspension concerns going into the game and is, therefore, unlikely to make too many changes.

That means loanees Robinson, Tomlin, Ronan Murray, Craig Stanley and Ben Pringle are all set to retain their places in the starting line-up as the Gulls look to secure back-to-back wins.
