Tottenham are reportedly in hot pursuit of Club Brugge midfielder Ivan Perisic.

The 22-year-old has scored 14 goals in only 25 games this season and, hence, is now the subject of interest from a number of potential suitors.

According to talkSPORT, Spurs are among those pursuing the Croatian and have recently dispatched scouts to compile a report on the set-piece specialist.

Perisic is contracted to Brugge until 2015 but the Belgian club are allegedly prepared to entertain offers in the region of €7 million and it has been claimed that Spurs are keen to enter negotiations.

Along with Spurs, Lille and Monaco are said to be chasing the midfield technician although the north London club appear to be leading the race.

Despite already boasting a battery of talent in the middle of the park, Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is thought to be keen to bolster his squad in an attempt to ensure Champions League football is a regular occurrence at White Hart Lane.
