Liverpool target Sergio Canales will decide his future at Real Madrid at the end of the season, according to the player's agent.

The 20-year-old signed for Madrid from Racing Santander last summer but has found life difficult at the Bernabeu with just one start to his name under Jose Mourinho.

"He wants to play here but in June we will speak with the club and find the best solution," said his agent and father Jose Canales.

The La Liga side are yet to decide on the future of Canales, but if they do chose to sell, there will be no shortage of potential buyers, with Liverpool most likely to pounce.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are all said to be interested in the £10 million rated midfielder, but links with Anfield have continued to surface.

Canales has said in the past that he is happy to stay with the Spanish giants.

"I'm happy, I'm in Madrid and fighting to get some minutes," he told Marca last week.

"Playing in teams like this is difficult, the key is to work hard. I have not proven myself yet."
