Chelsea have drafted a deal for Brazilian youngster Lucas Piazon, in the hopes of securing the budding star before Liverpool and Juventus can make their moves.

Liverpool have been connected with the 17 year old on numerous occasions, with word getting out that he may just be the next Kaka.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Chelsea’s contract for Piazon’s services, estimated to be heading in the direction of £8 million, could be signed by the end of the week.

Piazon scored the winning goal in Brazil's 4-3 defeat over Venezuela in the South American Under 17 Championship in Ecuador, and was clearly best player on the pitch.

Piazon was also the leading goal scorer in the 2009 Under 15 South American Championship. Brazil finished second in the 2009 Championship standings overall. Undoubtedly, Chelsea are expecting big things from the youngster.

While the Brazilian would normally need a working visa to move to the English top flight side, his Italian heritage might give him a way around any red tape with an EU passport.

Piazon has been compared to Kaka because like the Real Madrid superstar, the 17 year old is coming from Sao Paolo into Europe. His goal scoring capabilities make him a possibility for a striker or midfield position.
