Arsenal are reportedly pursuing Hajduk Split striker Ante Vukusic with a view to launching a summer bid for his services.

The 19-year-old has scored an impressive 14 times in 22 Prva HNL games this season and, according to Metro, the Gunners have sent scouts to monitor his progress.

With speculation growing that Nicklas Bendtner will leave Arsenal when the transfer window reopens, the Gunners are expected to delve into the market in order to find a suitable replacement.

Vukusic is certainly an exciting prospect and the Croatian could be available to Arsenal for around €4 million, which would surely represent a shrewd investment for Arsene Wenger.

The Arsenal boss is renowned for his ability to nurture young talent into top-class performers and Vukusic would seemingly flourish at the Emirates Stadium.
